Very interesting. It's been some time since they've abandoned the focus on information to the general public in their Sunday talk subjects in favor of "reaching to the choir."
Tme was when we speakers were counseled not to lace our public talk with esoteric JW jargon ("theospeak") that would not be understood by the uninitiated.

Yes, that paragraph 15 caps a theme carried over from the previous WT, a campaign to tamp down the resentment of being booted out of Bethel, reassigned, or removed from one's position and complaining about it.

Sorry about the mangled headline... I must admit that I never fully bought into the literal belief of global genocide, and used to argue that all of that "blood up to the horse's brible was "symbolic imagery."

it's very odd that the jan. 2020 watchtower was nearly 3 weeks later than normal.
another odd thing about this watchtower is that it has two articles (about the anointed) that is very similar to two articles they wrote only four years earlier.the fact that they have even reprinted two articles that are only four years old suggests that they continue to have numerous problems surrounding their teaching's of the anointed and problems with those claiming to be anointed.here are a few of the differences between both the 2016 and 2020 articles -2016 watchtower states.
anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah just like everyone else.. 2020 watchtower statesof course, anointed christians need to be taught by jehovah through the congregation just like everyone else.. four years ago, they acknowledged that it was only jehovah who were teaching the anointed but the newest watchtower now states that it is through the congregation.watchtower 2016 states there will be 144,000 ruling with jesus in heaven.

admit it, we all have things that we reel off when people ask what our favourite music is, just the same as if people ask what our favourite movies are.

So, in place of solid Bible commentary with new or expanded scholarly insights, we get a glitzy revenue-generating quasi -bible...looks like the art department now outranks the writing and research gang. Gone forever the day of concordances and interlinear editions of the Christian Greek scriptures... just pricey pablum for the masses..
I just wonder: How many present-day JWs even know what a concordance is?
